BERLIN -- Germany striker Miroslav Klose denied on Saturday a newspaper report saying he had agreed to join Bayern Munich.

Klose, who burst into the limelight by scoring five goals to help Germany reach the final of this year's World Cup, said he was planning to stay at Kaiserslautern. "I have not put my signature anywhere," Klose said on his website. "The only contract I have signed is with Kaiserslautern and that contract runs until 2004."

Top-selling daily ****Bild**** wrote on Saturday that Klose had agreed to join Bayern during the World Cup. The newspaper said in an unsourced report that the deal would be announced next year, Reuters reported.

The 24-year-old Klose had been linked to several other clubs, including Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus and AS Roma, in earlier newspaper reports.

"There has been a lot of rumors about me lately," he said. "There's nothing I can do to stop that."
